WATONGA - We had a couple visit on Wednesday and she took a lot pictures inside and out. Thursday there was a group of 13 visit. They were staying at Roman Nose for a family gathering, one of them was on leave and they decided to all get together.

Father’s Day 2021

It's a relief to know we can celebrate Father's Day this year without the guilt police on our backs, telling us not to congregate in groups of more than 10 during the pandemic. Why was 10 such a magic number? If 11 showed up, what did the 'experts' thing would happen?

SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everyone! How’s everything going for you? All is well at the center as far as I know. If you weren’t there Saturday night you missed a good time. We had 36 people present and everyone had a great time. David Green provided music for us and Naida Kerr sang some songs for us.

The Community Coffee was well attended. Thanks to everyone that let me give them a tour and tell them the history. It’s an honor to get to give tours and tell people how important Governor Ferguson was to our state and to Watonga.

Is It Forgetfulness or Brain Farts?

Today I'd like to address a very serious subject that is (or would be if we could remember) on the minds Baby Boomers who survived the 60's without the help of recreational stimulants stronger than Coke (the kind that was sold at an old-fashioned soda fountain).

Barbara Tewell is our new site director. Welcome Barbara. I took her through and showed her were different things are stored and discussed how to care for the antiques. We will begin reviewing the office files and other documents next week.

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a nice long weekend, I hope you took time to remember all those men and women who have given their lives to keep us FREE Americans. We should give thanks for them more often for their service to America. God bless them all and their families.

A Lamp to My Feet

We have had at least 7 articles from the book of Daniel. I will only touch on Daniel 7 – 12. It has been used over the centuries to describe events that haven’t happened yet. However, critics of the book of Daniel choose to deny that Daniel 7 – 12 had to be written nearly 500 years after Daniel 1­6.

Interviewing For a Husband

If I knew then (age 18) what I know now (don't ask) I'd have interviewed prospective husbands as a headhunter looks for a new CEO. I'd have made sure he didn't have big feet or a flat butt. Do you know how hard it is to find shoes that size or clothes to fit when he doesn't have a derriere?

We had a young lady stop by for a visit. She is new in town was looking for a place to rent and saw the Ferguson Home. She didn’t know who T. B. Ferguson was but seemed interested while I told her the history and she toured the home. She ask about the outside.
