SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everybody! I hope you are all well. Wasn't the rain wonderful? There are seven geese out in the gully in front of our house and they are sure enjoying the water that's flowing. It's really cool to watch them. Things were pretty quiet at the Center last week. There's not much to report on.

Hinton Senior News

Saturday late afternoon, the Matrons Rook Club met at the Sr. Center to enjoy our monthly senior rook playing. All of a sudden, someone said "oh my goodness, what is that.” We looked out the double doors and saw that it was actually raining!!

Happy Mother's Day

Erma Bombeck, the queen of all mothers, said it best when she wrote her Mother's Day 1974 column entitled “When God Created Mothers.” If you haven't read it, I recommend you do because it is so true.

Ferguson Features

The photographer from Oklahoma Today Magazine was out Saturday to take more pictures of the home and was there about an hour. The Ferguson Home will be in the July/August issue. We are so excited to be chosen for this. No visitors this week except for the photographer.

Letter from the Geary Public Library

Hello again readers, We all hope you had a good spring celebration with your friends and family, and even planted a few flowers for the bees. This month at the library we put out new books in our little library outside, and we added to our collection in the library.

Hi everybody! Well, another week has passed. The wind's still blowing and we're still dry as can be. The weatherman this morning shows all these chances for rain during the coming week. I'll believe it when I see it. I hope you all had a nice Easter. Ours was quiet.

Hinton Senior News

Driving home from Church on Sunday I saw so many ‘HE IS RISEN’ signs staked in many yards. A certain indicated sign that it was Easter Sunday. The weather contributed a pleasant, less windy day allowing us to spend some time outdoors.

Hi-Tech Is Not My Forte´

I've never been overly ambitious when it comes to trying new things that require a lot of 'thought' just to turn the darn thing on. When I got my first cellular phone back in the dark ages all I could do was make phone calls.

Ferguson Features

We had a good turnout for the Easter Egg hunt for as cold as it was Saturday. Several had pictures made too. Four ladies camping in the Tee Pees out at Roman Nose came during the midst of all that for a tour.
