Last December, I was looking forward to 2020 as a shiny new year. We have a couple of granddaughters who will be graduating and moving off to college soon, assuming we’ll be allowed out of our house by graduation time.

These days, if you want to scare yourself to death, turn on the TV or look at a cell phone. The responses around the country are enough to make everyone want to crawl into a hole and pull it in after themselves. This newspaper will not take part in fear mongering or politicizing the current crisis.

I have met many people over the years. Some of them have lifted me up while others have torn me down. The ones that have lifted me up are the ones I choose to remember. They are the ones that have made a positive difference in my life. I have become a better man because of them.

When Did I Contract CRS?

As I get older, I've noticed that my CRS* has gotten worse, although some days I wonder if that's even possible. And if it has gotten worse, how would I know? Har Har! Most days, it's not a concern since I can't remember what I forgot anyway.

Dear editor, I read with interest the article “Everyone Wants a Pool,... “ (Feb. 19, 2020) For many years, Watonga has needed a year-round pool. The pool built by the CCC at Roman Nose is unique, but we need a year-round pool in Watonga for three reasons: recreation; exercise; and rehabilitation.
