The Watonga girls basketball team is playing in the area round of the Class 2A state playoffs after an exciting, topsyturvy week of regional playoffs.
After winning the district championship 61-23 over Crescent, the Lady Eagles faced Luther in the first round of regional play.

Watonga Teams Hit Hard by Cancellations

The boys and girls basketball teams saw only one game combined over the past week as several contests were postponed because of COVID-19 protocols.
The girls, still ranked No. 17 in Class 2A, played an overtime thriller against No. 13 Cashion, but came up short in a 62-59 loss.
