Grant Williams Named as New Head Coach of Eagles’ Wrestling Program

Watonga High School has found its next head coach of the Eagles’ varsity wrestling program in Grant Williams, a Coweta High School and 23-year-old Oklahoma Wesleyan University alumnus. Williams was a standout wrestler at Coweta High School under Tigers’ varsity wrestling head coach David Gilstrap.
The Geary High School Lady Bison and Watonga High School Lady Eagles’ varsity basketball teams shake hands on Jan. 6 following a girls’ basketball game held at Watonga Gymnasium. All OSSAA-sanctioned activities in the state of Oklahoma have been officially canceled since March 26, including the Classes 6A-2A state basketball tournaments and all 2020 spring sports seasons. NFHS Releases Three-Part Plan to Allow High School Athletics to Make a Return

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has released guidance for its 51-member state high school associations to consider in reopening high school athletics and other activity programs across the nation.

The new baseball season began in South Korea on Tuesday with the crack of the bat and the sound of the ball smacking into the catcher’s mitt echoing around empty stadiums.

Although we continue to not have any live sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an upcoming potential bright spot was revealed over the weekend for the 2020 Northwest Oklahoma City Top Prospect Softball Camp & Scrimmage scheduled to be held on July 6 at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond.
