Christian Jessen Hansen, Jr.

Christian Jessen Hansen, Jr. was born on November 27, 1934 in Calumet, OK to Christian Jessen, Sr. and Mary Ann (Jensen) Hansen. He passed away on January 1, 2022 in El Reno, OK at the age of 87. C.J. graduated from Calumet High School and graduated from SuL Ross State College in Alpine, TX where he played basketball on scholarship. He was a lifelong resident of Calumet. He farmed and worked as a Moormans Livestock Supplements salesman, where he was a perennial top 100 salesman in the nation, and District Manager. He married Wanda Ruth Cranfill on October 2, 1954 in Calumet, OK. He later married Faye Bensch in 2002. C.J. was a founding board member of Canadian Valley Vo-Tech and served on the Calumet School Board for several years. He attended First Christian Church in Calumet. C.J. enjoyed bowling and bowled in a league in El Reno and following basketball games of his grandchildren.

He was the youngest of four siblings and lived at the rural family farm (located NW of Watonga) for most of the first 55 years of his life.

Thomas Frederick Crelly, 73, of Eagle City, OK, went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2022. Tom was born on August 31, 1948 to George and Neletta in Wichita, KS. After Tom graduated from Towanda High School (1967) in Kansas, he moved to Guymon, OK, where he meet the love of his life, Sally May Walker. In 1968, Tom joined the Navy and later that year on December 21, he and Sally married at Oakwood, OK. Tom was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1971.

Linda G. (Estep) Pomaville was born on August 11, 1961, in Lorenzo, TX to Elmer Ray and Byrle Mae (Edsall) Estep. She passed away on January 3, 2022, in El Reno, OK at the age of 60. Linda attended Geary Schools and lived in Geary most of her life. She worked as a clerk for Miller’s, Maib’s, SouthStore, and the NorthStore, Chisum Restaurant, and at the Cherokee Motel. She enjoyed watching Steeler’s football, OU Football, cooking, playing pool, watching TV, doing crossword puzzles, and loved her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and being Aunt Pooh.

Charleyne Aletha Overacre Meier was born July 23, 1923, at Fairland, Oklahoma, to William Christopher Overacre and Ola Earnestine Jones Overacre, and passed away January 8, 2022, at the age of 98. She was a resident of the Hitchcock community for 82 years, where she was a homemaker and dairy farmer’s wife. Charleyne graduated from Hitchcock High School, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cheyenne Quilt Guild, and the Home Demonstration Club. She was married to Harold David Meier at Fairland, Oklahoma on November 27, 1941. Some of Charleyne’s hobbies that you may have caught her doing included, sewing, quilting, ceramics, China painting, told painting, oil paintings, millinery, gardening, as well as knitting and crocheting.
